Whizzlr Alpha Going Live at Noon(ish)

40+ hours into the Google Technology User Group (GTUG) Campout, Team Whiz is proud to announce the forthcoming uber-Alpha demo release of Whizzlr, a Google Wave application that taps the whizdom of your friends and peers through real-time, ticking-clock trivia.

In theory, the new Robot will permit a single Wave participant to engage 2-50+ users in a fully synchronized live quiz competition. Users will see a series of media-enhanced questions, served up in quick succession by Whizzlr, and enter their answers directly through the Wave. Along the way, Whizzlr will calculate and announce not only the winner (fastest + most accurate), but also a Crowd IQ (how accurate was the averaged group response) and a King Whizzlr (person consistently closest to the group average).

Whizzlr Trivia will be enhanced by embedded images (eventually video + audio) and will be accessible anywhere that you can place a Wave. Wave account users will be able to participate through Waves embedded in blogs, wikis, websites, other software applications and, of course, their own Waveboxes.

Alpha testers, please stand by. In just an hour or so, you too will be able to Tap the Whizdom.
